The mental load refers to the often invisible & unrecognized cognitive & emotional labor involved in managing a household or workplace.

Women disproportionately carry this mental load, even when both partners work full-time.

Examples include but not limited to: scheduling appointments, coordinating logistics, meal planning, emotional support and so on.

CONSEQUENCES OF MENTAL LOAD

The mental load can have significant consequences on various aspects of life, particularly for those who bear the brunt of it.

Here are some of the key impacts:
