Success or Burnout: Where Are You Headed?

3 Strategies to adopt starting now

Success or Burnout: Where Are You Headed?

Burnout isn’t just a buzzword. It’s a silent crisis, especially among women. Let’s dive in together.

TODAY’S TOPIC

  • What does burnout in women look like

  • Why (The most common causes)

  • How to address

WHAT

Burnout in women is such a lonely road.

It often feels like:

  • Low levels of energy when heading to work

  • You feel overwhelmed most of the time

  • You can’t seem to find satisfaction at work

  • It’s hard to see a better future for now

  • It’s causing strain on your relationships

  • You have worked so hard to get here but for what?

It’s not only an emotional rollercoaster, it can set your career back & steal years of potential growth & fulfillment.

WHY

Burnout in women is a significant issue as they face unique pressures & expectations.

Most recent studies show that nearly half of women report feeling burned out, with stress levels higher than ever. Why is that? Here are the top 3.

  1. Challenging workloads: Women often face challenging workloads disrupting work-life balance (if that is still a thing!) & lead to chronic stress.

  2. Lack of community: A supportive work environment is crucial for women’s wellbeing. Isolation or lack of support at work and at home leads to burnout for women.

  3. Misaligned values: When personal values don’t align with the work you are doing, it creates internal conflict & dissatisfaction leading to exhaustion.

HOW

I have had many women reach out seeking help & guidance with burnout. Here are some of the things I work on with my clients. Hope this provides a plan for you too!

𝟭. 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳

→ We dive deep to uncover core values, what drew you to your career & find ways to reignite that passion.

Carving dedicated 15 mins for yourself daily to meditate & journal goes a long way.

𝟮. 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸-𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

→ Instead of the elusive ‘work-life balance’, we aim for work-life harmony. It’s about integrating, not juggling.

Make calendar your best friend & don’t forget to add your personal routines including breaks.

𝟯. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸

We work on strengthening your relationships with others, working with trust & influence, so you have a reliable network to lean on.

In order to build trust with others, you will need to be honest with yourself first & own your need for change.

I have experienced burnout myself & my mission now is to help many women thrive.

I hope you will join me on this journey ❤️

Until next week,
